چکیده
Background:Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), often require sedation during the procedure. The most commonly used drugs for this purpose are midazolam and propofol, which as sedative hypnotic agents with minimal analgesic potential. Aims & objectives:Effects of Sedoanalgesia Midazolam/ ketamine long Dexmedetomidine nfusion Rescue propofol alliquotes regimes on hemodynamic respiratory variables& recovery profile in patients undergoing ERCP. Methods:In Retrospective observational study adult ASA grade l- lll were enrolled after taking inform consent from patient their relatives. Premedication was given form inj.Midazolam 0.02 mg/kg iv Group l,.inj 0.5 group ll. Inj.Dexmedetomidine ( bolus dose 1 μg/kg over 10 min) followed by 0.5μg/kg/hour maintenance both groups.intermittent Intravenous Propofol maintain BIS 70-80 groups. Amount procedure notified.. Hemodynamic variables, time adverse events monitored recorded. Results:The variables similar Total consumption significantly lower (205+/-80 mg vs.155+/-20 p < 0.001). period shorter ll (time to achieve Aldrete score 9 9.0 ±2.2 vs. , 6.2+/-1.1min 0.001).Adverse comparable between two Conclusion:Ketamine-Dexmedetomidine combination may be a safe useful alternative ERCP patients.

Evaluation of remifentanil in endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Endoscopic retrogade cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) is a painful procedure that requires transient analgesia and conscious sedation. Remifentanil an ultrashort, very potent narcotic, is eliminated by plasma esterases, and does not interfere with liver function. It does not accumulate and is free of residual depression. Our aim is to find out if remifentanil can provid...

Background: Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP) is the commonest method for treatment of biliary stones. In our study we compared 2 groups of patients managed with laparoscopic cholecystectomy post ERCP after maximum of 72 hours during same admission and after 28 days. Patients and Methods: The study conducted from January 2012 to January 2015 and included 86 patients; Group ...
متن کاملAssessment of endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) and pure pancreatic juice cytology in patients with pancreatic disease.
Pure pancreatic juice has been collected from 61 patients at the time of endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) for the purpose of cytodiagnosis. The ERCP and cytological findings are discussed. Pure pancreatic juice cytology may help in the interpretation of the pancreatogram in both pancreatitis and pancreatic carcinoma. In patients with pancreatic carcinoma, ERCP alone was di...

the development of complications after procedure, such as age, heart and lung condition, electrolyte imbalance, advanced liver disease, and liver coagulopathy. Obstructive jaundice, especially in patients with high bilirubin level can be more challenging due to the risks of infection and bleeding [3, 4]. Hyperbilirubinemia can lead to hemostasis impairment due to poor absorption of vitamin K. B...

Background and purpose: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is usually performed under deep sedation. Respiratory depression and airway obstruction are the most dangerous complications of sedatives. Dexmedetomidine is a drug that does not cause respiratory depression so, this study evaluated the efficacy of nasal dexmedetomidine in inducing moderate sedation in patients underg...
